On the morning of 19 October, Dr. Eyal Propper, the Consul General of Israel in Shanghai, visited Changzhou. Mr. Ding Chun, the Mayor of Changzhou, met the Consul General in the City Administrative Center. Liang Yibo, the Deputy Mayor of Changzhou, Dai Shifu, head of Wu Jin District, also attended the meeting.
Mr. Ding Chun introduced facts of Changzhou's economic and social development. He said that Changzhou is an open and inclusive city with more than 3,800 foreign-invested enterprises and 65 Fortune 500 companies. In the process of promoting science and technology innovation, Changzhou had always attached importance to cooperate with Israel. The China Israel Changzhou Innovation Park (CIP), the first official governmental cooperation platform, had accomplished many achievements in the project team's introduction, technology transfer, innovational & ecological construction and other aspects of the work. CIP played a vital role in "Changzhou's opening to the outside world" Policy and he hoped the two sides could work closely together for the better future.
Dr. Eyal Propper, the Consul General of Israel in Shanghai, took office in early August this year. He said that the purpose of Changzhou visit is to better understand the results of Sino-Israel cooperation, to explore more possible cooperation. He hoped that the two sides could continue to maintain close communication and exchanges in the next step to bring more Israeli science&technology, talent, capital and other innovative elements influx. Moreover, Dr. Eyal Propper emphasized that China Israel Changzhou Innovation Park (CIP) was the best team work of Sino- Israel cooperation and he convinced of Israel-Changzhou's bright future together.
