The Consul General of Israel in Shanghai, Mr. Jackie Eldan and Mr. Amir Hayek, the managing director of the Manufacturers Association of Israel, together with Lawyers, Experts of the Chinese business sector and leading Israeli CEO’s who work in China, were among the speakers.

Collaborating Israeli and Shanghai companies will be eligible for grants: Israeli companies can receive grants for up to 50% of a project's R&D costs from the Office of the Chief Scientist, and the Shanghai Municipality will provide a similar level for the Chinese companies. The Ministry of Industry said that the agreement will expose companies from the countries to the needs of different markets, while the governments will provide financial support.

An Israeli Folk Dancing Group Led by Gadi Bitton held a performance at Community Center in Hongkou District, Shanghai, on April 2, 2011. Well-known Chinese dancer Jin Xing and her dancing group joined the performance. A local dancing group of which the members' average age is 50 years old took part in this interactive performance as well. Gadi Bitton was leading everyone dancing the Israeli folk dance. Different languages and national backgrounds are no longer barriers among people in music and dancing.

Consul General of Israel in Shanghai Jackie Eldan visited Wenzhou and Taizhou city in Zhejiang Province from February 22 to 25. In Wenzhou, Consul General visited No.1 Hospital Affiliated to Wenzhou Medical College, and made a speech regarding “economy and trade between Israel and China” during his visit to Wenzhou University.
